The Richmond Jazz Orchestra takes the stage on Sunday, December 6, to welcome in the holiday season at the Reid Center. The Richmond Jazz Orchestra (RJO) is the area's premier not-for-profit big band with 20 musicians and vocalists. The musicians include professional players, high school band directors, music teachers, talented adults, and a few top college and high school players.
Admission is free.
Activities at The Reid Center are made possible in part by support from the Community Foundation of Randolph County and the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency. Additional support is provided by Primex, the Stamm-Koechlein Family Foundation, Choice Realty One, Beach Automotive Services, Inc., and donors like you.

Drop-off: Drop-off available at the front door on North 11th Street or by an accessible ramp by the entrance to the alley, between North 10th and North 11th Streets off North A Street.
Parking: On-street parking is available along North A Street, 10th Street, and 11th Street. There is a lot north of the church, accessible from the alley between 10th and 11th Streets. The municipal parking lot on 10th Street, between Main and North A, is a short walk.
Accessibility: We are honored to be caring for such a special facility, but older buildings come with challenges. It is our intention to be open and accessible to all community members. The south entrance (along North A Street) has an accessible ramp to the door. Once inside, there is a stairway of eight steps to the main level. On the left is a handrail, and on the right is a lift chair. The restroom on the main level is a private, single-person restroom, but is not wheelchair accessible. Until we can make permanent accessibility updates to our facility, we encourage those needing additional accommodations to call 765-966-7618. Venue: Designed by the Cleveland, Ohio, architectural partnership of Sidney Badgley and William H. Nicklas, the building was begun in 1904 and was dedicated on May 13, 1906. Daniel G. Reid paid for the church in memory of his parents, Daniel Reid and Ann Gray Reid. Tiffany Studios, New York, designed the church interior and stained glass windows. The Reid Center features a 1906 Hook & Hastings pipe organ and a rare 1905 Starr Piano Company 9-ft. concert grand piano. The Reid Center stands tall in the corner of the Starr Historic District in downtown Richmond as a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Rentals: The Reid Center is available for weddings, reunions, office parties, and other private events. Inquire at info@reidcenter.org.
About Us: The Reid Center organization was created to preserve the historic 1906 Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church for ongoing use by the community as a performing arts center. The organization serves as an educational and historical destination and offers many free concerts and ticketed events to the public.
