Bring friends and family to the Ghostly Tours of the Reid Center on either Friday, October 23, or Saturday, October 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Last tour begins at 8:30 p.m.) Tickets are $10/person or $25 per family.
Enjoy tales from past spirits, including Reid Center benefactor, Daniel G. Reed, Rev. Lyons, pastor of the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church when it was dedicated in 1906, and the original architect of the Reid Center. Also expected, Clara Driscoll, who worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany, will be here to tell us about the beautiful Tiffany windows, and also, Mrs. Scott, the spouse of the first elder of the church.
Additionally, Jonathan Hampton and Carolyn Ripp will be playing our historic Hook and Hastings pipe organ, as well as Jenny Williams on our beautiful 1905 Starr Grand piano.

Parking: On-street parking is available along North A Street, 10th Street, and 11th Street. There is a lot north of the church, accessible from the alley between 10th and 11th Streets. The municipal parking lot on 10th Street, between Main and North A, is a short walk
Drop-off: Drop-off available at the front door on North 11th Street or by an accessible ramp at the entrance to the alley, between North 10th and North 11th Streets off North A Street.
Accessibility: We are honored to be caring for such a special facility, but older buildings come with challenges. It is our intention to be open and accessible to all community members. The south entrance (along North A Street) has an accessible ramp to the door. Once inside, there is a stairway of eight steps to the main level. On the left is a handrail, and on the right is a lift chair. The restroom on the main level is a private, single-person restroom, but is not wheelchair accessible. Until we can make permanent accessibility updates to our facility, we encourage those needing additional accommodations to call 765-966-7618. We are eager to welcome you and will do everything we can to meet your accessibility needs.
Venue: Designed by the Cleveland, Ohio, architectural partnership of Sidney Badgley and William H. Nicklas, the building was begun in 1904 and was dedicated on May 13, 1906. Daniel G. Reid paid for the church in memory of his parents, Daniel Reid and Ann Gray Reid. Tiffany Studios, New York, designed the church interior and stained glass windows. The Reid Center features a 1906 Hook & Hastings pipe organ and a rare 1905 Starr Piano Company 9-ft. concert grand piano. The Reid Center stands tall in the corner of the Starr Historic District in downtown Richmond as a one-of-a-kind treasure.

About Us: The Reid Center organization was created to preserve the historic 1906 Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church for ongoing use by the community as a performing arts center. The organization serves as an educational and historical destination and offers many free concerts and ticketed events to the public.
