American keyboardist Kirsten Homdrom’s performances span both the solo and collaborative realms, with repertoire ranging from the 1600’s to the present. She has premiered new works by composer Keane Southard for both piano and organ, and enjoys playing standards in the classical repertoire as well as hidden gems both old and new. Dr. Homdrom has performed in venues throughout the United States, as well as in England and the Czech Republic. Equally at home in the world of sacred music, Dr. Homdrom is committed to sharing the gift of music with others through education and worship. She served as Trinity Scholar at Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson, Ohio, Director of Music at Venice Presbyterian Church in Ross, Ohio, as Associate Director of Music at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, and currently serves as Director of Music & Organist at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dr. Homdrom holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Magna Cum Laude, from Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music, and Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Primary teachers include pianists Eugene and Elisabeth Pridonoff, Robert Mayerovitch, Sungeun Kim, and Carl McElhaney; and organists Michael Unger, Roberta Gary, and Margaret Scharf.

Drop-off: Drop-off available at the front door on North 11th Street or by an accessible ramp at the entrance to the alley, between North 10th and North 11th Streets, off North A Street.
Parking: On-street parking is available along North A, 10th Street, and 11th Street. There is a lot north of the church, accessible from the alley between 10th and 11th Streets. The municipal parking lot on 10th Street, between Main and North A, is a short walk.
Accessibility: We are honored to be caring for such a special facility, but older buildings come with challenges. It is our intention to be open and accessible to all community members. The south entrance (along North A Street) has an accessible ramp to the door. Once inside, there is a stairway of eight steps to the main level. On the left is a handrail, and on the right is a lift chair. The restroom on the main level is a private, single-person restroom, but is not wheelchair accessible. Until we can make permanent accessibility updates to our facility, we encourage those needing additional accommodations to call 765-966-7618. We are eager to welcome you, and will do everything we can to meet your accessibility needs.
Venue: Designed by the Cleveland, Ohio, architectural partnership of Sidney Badgley and William H. Nicklas, the building was begun in 1904 and was dedicated on May 13, 1906. Daniel G. Reid paid for the church in memory of his parents, Daniel Reid and Ann Gray Reid. Tiffany Studios, New York, designed the church interior and stained glass windows. The Reid Center features a 1906 Hook & Hastings pipe organ and a rare 1905 Starr Piano Company 9-ft. concert grand piano. The Reid Center stands tall in the corner of the Starr Historic District in downtown Richmond as a one-of-a-kind treasure.
