Please join us for love, laughter, mistaken identity, and mayhem! Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s best-loved plays, brought to life with audience participation and improv comedy.
Play by William Shakespeare. Produced and directed by Erica Pearson.
This event will take place in “The Underground” (downstairs) at the Reid Center. Please plan to enter via the door on North A Street.
Activities at The Reid Center are made possible in part by the Community Foundation of Randolph County, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Also, Primex, Stamm Koechlein Family Foundation, Choice Realty One, Beach Automotive Services, Inc., and Erica & Mark Pearson.
Venue: The Reid Center was created to preserve the historic 1906 Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church for ongoing use by the community as a local performing arts center. The organization serves as an educational and historical destination and offers many free concerts and ticketed events to the public. The Reid Center is now able to offer space rentals for weddings, reunions, office parties, and other events. Inquire at info@reidcenter.org. Along with its Louis Comfort Tiffany windows and stunning interior design, The Reid Center features a 1905 Hook and Hastings pipe organ and a one-of-a-kind 1902 Starr Piano Company 9-foot concert grand piano. The Reid Center stands tall in the corner of the Starr Historic District in downtown Richmond as a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Parking: On-street parking is available along North A, 10th St, and 11th St. There is a lot north of the church accessible from the alley between 10th and 11th Streets. The municipal parking lot on 10th St between Main and North A is a short walk. Parking is available in the Wayne County Historical Museum lot on North 11th, also a short walk.
Accessibility: We are honored to care for such a special facility, but older buildings present challenges. It is our intention to be open and accessible to all community members. The south entrance (along North A Street) has an accessible ramp to the door. Once inside, there is a stairway of about 12 steps to the lower level. A handrail and a lift chair are available. The restroom on the lower level is a fully accessible, single-person restroom. Until we can make permanent accessibility updates to our facility, we encourage those needing additional accommodations to call 765-966-7618. We are eager to welcome you, and will do everything we can to meet your accessibility needs.
Support: Many community volunteers, through a variety of talents, support the ongoing regular events. Donations to The Reid Center, a 501c3 organization, can be made by visiting www.reidcenter.org/donate. This program is made possible with support from our sponsors and donors like you.
